Mervyn Herbert Story Maskelyne 1846
Mervyn Herbert Nevil Story-Maskelene (3 September 1823 – 20 May 1911) was a British mineralogist, photographer, and politician.
Like his father-in-law, Maskelyne was also a pioneer in the field of photography. He served in Parliament from 1880 to 1892. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1870. The Geological Society of London awarded him the Wollaston Medal in 1893.
The mineral maskelyne, found in meteorites, is named after him.
