Egypt, Aswan, Trajan's Kiosk, Philae Island, 1856
French photographer Frédéric documented the temples of Philae Island in Aswan, Egypt, specifically Trajan's Kiosk, during his trip to Egypt between 1855 and 1856 AD.
The temple was originally located on the now-submerged island of Philae. The island's temples were relocated to their current location on Bige Island after the construction of the High Tension Dam.
