Egypt, a camp in Fayoum, 1855 AD

In this rare photo, we see camps in the Egyptian city of Fayoum (as documented by the photographer). I believe this camp belonged to the French photographer Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, who traveled to Egypt and Yemen from 1855-1856 AD, taking many wonderful photographs there in the mid-nineteenth century.
