Egypt, Aswan, Trajan's Kiosk, Philae Island 1844
French photographer Joseph Philibert Girault de Prangey documented the temples of Philae Island in Aswan, Egypt, specifically Trajan's Kiosk, during his trip to Egypt in 1844 AD.
The temple was originally located on the now-submerged island of Philae. The island's temples were relocated to their current location on Bige Island after the construction of the High Tension Dam.
